Perfect was contracted to undertake demolition works, stripping a 70 year old heritage listed terrace back to base. The house was approximately 180 years old, located in a busy district intersection near Williams street, Wooloomooloo. Making it a very busy high traffic area in the city, for pedestrians and motor vehicles.
The Back section of the terrace was completely removed, walls were braced and propped to create more space for rear extension. During the works builders discovered that the roof wasn’t structurally sound, leading in removal of the roof. The project went over the course of 8 weeks, however Perfect was assisting the builders throughout the whole reconstruction works.
The site was only 110m2 site, meaning tight access for demolition and excavation. All works were preformed 2-5t and perfect trucks. Crew on site consisted of ticketed demolition supervisor and 5 labourers. During the works demolition crew has discovered asbestos containing material, which was safely removed. Hygienist certificate was accounted on removal.
After completion of demolition the Perfect team completed civil works and excavation. Including the pouring of new footing piers and slabs. Perfect additionally assisted with landscaping works, concrete cutting, concrete polishing and labour hire.
