Skip Bin Hire

More than thirty skips, our own hook trucks, and no broker in the middle.

Skip bins for builders, demolition contractors and fitout companies. Dry hire if you want to load it yourself, or fully managed if you would rather we handled the lot.

Sydney and greater NSW, Brisbane and South East Queensland, and along the East Coast.

Because we are a demolition contractor first, we know what a site actually needs. The right size bin in the right spot, swapped when it is full rather than three days later.

Approach

Safety

Safety is at the forefront of our operations across Australia, demonstrated by our Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems being certified to AS/NZS 4801:2001, our exemplary safety record and comprehensive internal structures and processes. We encourage open communication with the aim of creating greater awareness to help reduce injuries and improve our safety performance. We recognise that the involvement of managers in the safety management process is critical, particularly at the site manager and supervisor level.

Strong Team

We understand the risks and challenges that project managers face every day, which is why we are committed to providing a responsible and flexible workforce equipped to deliver quality outcomes on commercially sensitive projects. Our employees are honest and punctual, carefully selected to represent the Perfect Strip Out & Demolition culture. We're a tight-knit team and believe a respectful and supportive onsite environment is critical to cooperation, problem solving and time management.

Technical Expertise

Since the company was established in 2010, we have grown quickly, delivering on significant flagship projects including Town Hall Train Station, Circular Quay Train Station and Sydney International Airport. Backed by a team of skilled estimators, project managers, site managers and tradesmen, our team are reliable, highly qualified professionals who work hard to deliver truly exceptional service and quality projects for our clients.

Fleet

Perfect operates its own fleet of Skip Bins and Hook Trucks ranging from nimble 5m3 to large 30m3 Skip Bins. Additionally we operate an armada of excavators and skid steers, tippers, EWP's, forklifts, Brokks, lifts, scaffolding and almost every tool known to man.

Unlike traditional skips, Perfect skips are generally low sided with single or twin gate access. This means swifter & easier loading and greater waste capacities. To put this into perspective a high-sided 4.5t GVM tipper can carry approximately 2.5m3 of material, significantly less if its a dense material such as steel or brick. PSD's smallest skip is 5m3. Its largest is 30m3. With a hook truck fleet that tops out at 30t GVM 8-wheelers, axle lockers and articulated hooks, our skips can be filled to the brim, even with heavier material like brick and concrete or structural steel.
Perfect skip bins are available to builders & renovators, civil contractors, fit out companies, council & government clients and civilians wanting to dispose of waste en masse. The only requirements are space to deliver the skip, materials segregation to reduce your costs, and no asbestos or fibre board.

People

The key to Perfect's continual success is down to one key factor, Our People.

Our crews are the ones out there doing the hard graft every single day, ensuring your project gets delivered on time, every time. Because that's what we do. We get it done.

From management and operations to engineering and estimating to supervisors and ground workers, Perfect Strip Out & Demolition hires only the best. Continual improvement processes ensure regular training, new tickets and upskilling.

Projects

Picking the right size, without guessing

The most common mistake on a building site is a bin that is too small, filled in a day, and then sitting full while the crew works around it.

The second most common is a big bin on a job with heavy material. A large skip full of concrete will be over weight long before it is full, and it either cannot be lifted or it costs a fortune.

So the rule is simple. Heavy material like concrete, brick, tile and soil goes in smaller bins. Light bulky material like fitout waste, timber and plasterboard goes in the big ones. Tell us what the material is and we will tell you what to take.

Dry hire or managed

Dry hire is the straightforward version. We deliver the empty bin, you load it, we take it away. Cheapest option if you have people on site who can fill it.

Managed means we bring the bin, the labourers and the loading, and keep the site clear as the job runs. Fitout and strip out builders tend to prefer this because it stops their trades from spending half a day carrying rubbish.

Plenty of jobs use both. Dry hire in the early stages, managed once the volume goes up.

Where the bin goes, and who has to agree

On the site is easy. On the street is not. Most councils in both Sydney and Brisbane require a permit for a bin on a road or a footpath, sometimes with traffic control as well, and the fine for getting it wrong lands on the site, not the bin company.

We will tell you honestly whether you need one and what it involves. A driveway or a nature strip on private property normally does not, a public road normally does.

We also need real access. A hook truck needs room to reverse and room to tip the bin off. Send a photo of the spot if you are not sure and we will tell you before the truck is wasted.

What cannot go in a general bin

Asbestos, contaminated soil, chemicals, batteries, tyres, gas bottles and liquid waste. Putting any of these into a mixed load is an offence and the transfer station will reject the bin.

We can take all of it, but it goes as a separate classified load under our licences, with the right paperwork. Tell us up front and it is straightforward. Hide it in a bin and it becomes an expensive problem for everybody.

FAQs

What size skip do I need?

Depends on the material more than the volume. Heavy things like concrete, brick and soil go in smaller bins, light bulky fitout waste goes in the big ones. Tell us what you are throwing out and we will pick it for you.

Can I keep the bin for a week?

Yes. Dry hire periods are flexible, and on a live site we will usually swap bins as they fill rather than leave one sitting.

Do I need a council permit?

If the bin is going on a public road or footpath, almost always. On private property, usually not. We will tell you which applies before we deliver.

Can I put asbestos in the bin?

Not in a general bin. We can take it, but it goes as a separate classified load under our licences with the correct disposal paperwork.

Do you deliver in Brisbane as well as Sydney?

Yes. We run out of Marrickville in Sydney and Slacks Creek in Brisbane, and cover South East Queensland from there.
