Perfect recently carried out detailed demolition works for our client Construction Profile at Manly. These works involved the demolition of a 6m x 12m heavily reinforced concrete slab in a basement 3 levels underground, with tight access.
The scope of works for this project involved:
• Demolition of a heavily reinforced wall in the 3rd level basement.
• Removal of all waste and rubble
Due to the tight access for this project, it was extremely hard to gain access with one of our mini excavators and due to the heavy reinforcement in the slab, it was not visible to carry out the work with handheld Jackhammers.
Liaising with our client, we working out a methodology to lower our Brook 200 Demolition Robot down to the basement with a 2T Winch. This would be the most efficient way of getting the project completed on time and budget.
Once our Brokk 200 Demolition Robot was lowered to the basement level we then had our 3-phase generator supply the power and our experienced Operator began hammering the wall.
Results: All works were completed on time, on budget and without incident.
